Meet Cheryl Gorman

“I am of this land and of these people.”

Several years ago, I took a course with Diane Longboat, a Haudenosaunee Knowledge Keeper. Someone asked her a question about cultural appropriation, and her response changed the course of my spiritual path.

Diane answered with such compassion and clarity. She said: If you live in North America and are drawn to nature and ancestor-based spirituality, you will inevitably encounter Indigenous traditions. You are welcome to participate—if you do so by invitation, with respect, and without claiming Indigenous ancestry that is not yours. And, most importantly, if you stand on the land of your own ancestors, you will feel a bond and homecoming like no other. In the meantime, come join us.

Her words were a magnet for me—an invitation to go deeper into my own roots.

Since then, I’ve been walking a path of remembering and returning. My sacred practice continues to grow, rooted in the land, language, and spiritual traditions of my Irish ancestors. I am committed to deepening this relationship and sharing what I learn along the way.

Today, I guide others in discovering and reclaiming their own ancestral pathways. My work is a bridge—helping people connect to the spirit of their land, their lineage, and the timeless wisdom that lives in all of us.

Cheryl Gorman — Sacred Practice Guide, Spiritual Medium, and Bandruí (Female Druid)

I am a fourth-generation Settler on Turtle Island, born on the Canadian Prairies and raised across Canada. A lifelong communicator with Spirit, I have been immersed in the Irish and Celtic cultures and spiritual traditions of my ancestors for as long as I can remember. I am trained in the Camp Chesterfield tradition of Spiritual Mediumship and the Avalon lineage of Druidry, which I actively practice and integrate into my work.

As a Sacred Practice Guide, I help others cultivate a deeper relationship with the natural and unseen worlds. My work is rooted in ancestral connection, earth-based wisdom, and the living presence of Spirit.

With over thirty years of professional experience in education and large-scale community collaboration, I bring strong leadership and a deep commitment to collective transformation. My work has spanned North America and Australia, where I led initiatives that united government, business, and grassroots partners to co-create community-based programs and systems change. Through Doors to the Divine, I return to my roots as an educator, now focused on guiding spiritual exploration and sacred practice.

Volunteerism has always been integral to my life. I currently serve as Chair of the Board of Ninth Wave Arts.

I love the magic and mystery that surrounds us each and every day.

I am here as a way-shower when people are ready to explore and enhance their wisdom within. We all have the power to ‘live into’ our Highest Selves. I recognize that this takes courage and offer my knowledge of the terrain and my skill in navigating it - to help make your journey successful and safe.

Being fully present in the now – as Eckhart Tolle would say – is the heart of how we consistently welcome more joy, calm, and groundedness into our lives.
